Medical Insurance
Westphalia Dental prides itself on pursuing every possible solution for you to achieve your dental goal.
Dr. Chung and the staff attend many continuing education seminars to be at the top of our game.
Therefore, in keeping with the trend, we have added the billing of your medical plans. In addition to submitting claims for your treatment to the dental plans, we are submitting some of the treatment for surgery to the medical plan. We will do our best to access every “wallet on the table” to offset the cost to you.
You will see a medical EOB for your plan in conjunction with your dental EOB, this is us doing all we can to decrease the cost to you. We will bill the medical plan for you and what is paid will be deducted from your balance. You will be responsible for what is not reimbursed by the plan. Some plans have high deductibles and if no monies are paid it will count towards your deductible. In addition, unlike dental plans, we are not able to know what the plan will reimburse. The payment is based on the degree of difficulty of the surgery, so they wait for the notes from Dr. Chung to determine their payment.
Below are the procedures that are billed routinely by our office to the medical insurance and are reimbursable.
*procedures vary per patient – not all these codes are applicable to your treatment
**Root canals, crowns, fillings, cleanings and bridges are not reimbursable by the medical plans unless trauma is associated with the medical necessity.
